Terms of service

Who we are, how e-book purchases and the app work, and what we do not promise.

Effective 29 October 2026 · Last updated 29 October 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

BookPilot (bookpilot.org, including the BookPilot AI app) is run by Zirlandia Milkovic, a private individual based in Croatia. There is no registered company behind it.

These terms apply to bookpilot.org, its blog, e-books bought through it, and the BookPilot AI app. "BookPilot", "we" and "us" mean Zirlandia Milkovic. By using the site or buying, you accept these terms.

2. The website and the blog

You may read and share links to our content. Texts, book covers and images remain ours or our licensors'; please don't republish them without permission.

Not legal advice. Blog articles, including those about the GDPR, the EU AI Act and other laws, are general information written in good faith on the date shown. They are not legal, tax, financial or other professional advice, may not reflect later changes in the law, and do not create a client relationship. For decisions about your own situation, consult a qualified professional.

3. E-books sold on bookpilot.org

3.1 Ordering and payment

E-books are sold through Stripe Payment Links. Clicking "Buy" takes you to a secure Stripe checkout. The contract is formed when your payment is confirmed. The price shown on the book's page and on the Stripe checkout is the price you pay, in euros.

VAT: Prices shown are final prices. Any applicable taxes are included, and no additional tax is added at checkout.

3.2 Delivery

All books sold here are digital downloads (for example PDF). There are no physical books. After payment you receive a download link on the Stripe confirmation page and/or by email, straight away. If the link doesn't arrive or doesn't work, write to hello@bookpilot.org and we will send it again.

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to read the e-book on your own devices. Please don't share, resell or publish the file.

3.3 Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content supplied immediately, this right ends once the download starts, but only if you have expressly agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as implemented in Croatia by the Consumer Protection Act). You give that consent and acknowledgement at checkout; we confirm the purchase, including that consent, by email or on the confirmation page.

Independently of this, books that are advertised with a 14-day money-back guarantee can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase: just write to hello@bookpilot.org. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.

3.4 Faulty files

If a file is defective or doesn't match its description, your statutory rights for digital content apply: we will fix or replace it, or refund you if we can't.

4. Books bought from Amazon and other stores

Some books are sold by Amazon (Kindle or print) or other stores. Those purchases are contracts with that store, and its own terms, prices, delivery and return rules apply. We have no access to your order there.

5. The BookPilot AI app

5.1 What it is — and is not

BookPilot AI analyses a book you provide, proposes reader personas and marketing angles, writes ad copy and creative briefs, helps you build campaigns and reports on their performance using accounts you connect.

5.2 Your account

Keep your credentials safe and tell us at hello@bookpilot.org if you think someone else has them. One account is for one person or organisation; Publisher plans include named team members.

5.3 Your content

Your book, texts and cover stay yours. You give us the licence we need to store them, send them to our AI provider for generation and show you the results — nothing more. Generated material is yours to use, including commercially; AI output may not be protected by copyright everywhere, and similar output may be produced for others. You confirm you have the rights to what you upload.

5.4 Acceptable use

Don't use BookPilot to advertise content you have no rights to; to create deceptive ads, fake reviews, endorsements, awards or sales figures, or guaranteed-outcome claims; to target people on protected characteristics; to promote illegal goods or material that breaches an ad platform's policies; or to extract our prompts, get around usage limits or access another customer's data. You are responsible for every ad you publish.

5.5 Plans, credits and payment

5.6 Availability and ending

We aim for a reliable service but can't promise it will never be interrupted, especially where a third party (an ad platform or the AI provider) is unavailable. You can stop at any time by cancelling or deleting your account. We may suspend an account that breaches 5.4, normally after notice and a chance to fix it. You can export your data before deletion; afterwards it cannot be recovered.

6. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, sales, ad spend or data, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period.

7. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Please write to hello@bookpilot.org first — most problems can be fixed quickly.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. A purchase is governed by the terms in force when you made it. App users get at least 30 days' notice in the app of a material change and can cancel before it applies.
