No advertising cookies, no tracking cookies. Here is everything that is stored, and where.

The short version
BookPilot sets no cookies of its own: no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner. The few things stored in your browser are listed below; they are strictly necessary or set by your own choice.
What is stored on your device

The names start with "bookboost" for technical reasons (BookPilot's earlier name). Neither value is readable by other sites or sent to us for analysis.
Netlify performance monitoring
Our host, Netlify, measures how fast pages load (Real User Monitoring). It does not set cookies or store identifiers on your device, and we only see anonymous, aggregated figures. See the privacy policy.
Leaving bookpilot.org
When you click "Buy" you go to Stripe's checkout, which uses its own cookies for payment and fraud prevention. Links to Amazon, other stores and gdprgard.eu open those sites, which have their own cookie policies. Those cookies are set by them, not by us.
The tracking script on your own website (app users)
If you install the BookPilot tracking script (bb.js) on your own site, it sets no cookies. It stores two values in sessionStorage, which is emptied when the visitor closes the tab:

It records no IP address, user agent, device identifier, referrer or page content. Storing anything on a visitor's device is still regulated under the EU ePrivacy rules; whether you need consent depends on your setup and your national regulator. As the site owner you decide this and cover it in your own notices.
Managing storage
You can delete localStorage and sessionStorage at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Questions: hello@bookpilot.org.
